Day 1

Ulaanbaatar → Khugnu Tarna (via Semi-Gobi Camel Trek)

Depart Ulaanbaatar and drive to the Mongol Els sand dunes, known as Mongolia's 'Semi-Gobi.' Ride a two-humped camel across the dunes before continuing to Khugnu Tarna National Park for a stay with a local nomadic family.

Day 2

Khugnu Tarna → Kharkhorin

Morning horseback ride through the pine-covered ridges of Khugnu Tarna National Park. Continue to Kharkhorin (Karakorum) and visit Erdene Zuu Monastery before checking into a tourist ger camp.
